An extended trip to Hawaii in early 2016 prompted the concept of Sweet Aloha Bowls. I was determined to make an acai bowl my first meal on Kauai. Acai bowls were still a bit of a mystery to me and not readily available in our area. Of course, it did not let me down and for the next two weeks, had one about every day while traveling between the different islands. The way I felt sustained over the course of the day and not have any energy crashes was amazing.
